If I said I grew up sewing clothes for my dolls as well as myself, I would be lying. At a young age, I already knew what woman I wanted to be; stylish and sassy with a pinch of sexiness, who dared to be unique for her own sense of style. G.I.A. Luxe by Sheetal Patel is a luxurious and exotic, contemporary handbag line. It is designed for the fashion-forward woman, who values practicality and sophisticated femininity. My inspiration is taken from my days of living in London and the Middle East, and immigrating to the United States in the late 90’s, however, most importantly my inspiration is my beautiful daughter, Gia.
AMEZCUA
The excitement of her design arouses the admiration of her peers. Her work detests pretenses and anything that might be perceived as disingenuous. Embossing elegance and refinement defines the woman wearing Amezcua making her feel secure and sensuous. In her work, Amezcua possesses a natural affinity towards fabrics that speak to her inspiration. Each of Amezcua’s garments is produced with ardor. The detail that pours into her craft stems from a place filled with the same passion that inspires her.
Amanda Mayfield
My inspiration comes from things that have nothing to do with the kind of clothing I am looking to create. There is a marvelous challenge in weaving and working a subject until it becomes a part of me, in creating garments with it woven into me. My goal is to create something elegant, inspiring, and deep. There is a beauty and absurdity to this world we live in and I want to play with it. I want to apply everything I know and have yet to know and will never know to fashion. Through this process of discovery I can continue to uncover new sides to the world and myself. Endless expansion.
